Programs:

At PELC, we believe that children should be provided with an age appropriate curriculum.  In order to provide a high quality education that is age-appropriate and creative, we use thematic units that promote the development in the seven domains of kindergarten readiness.

 

THE 7 DOMAINS OF KINDERGARTEN READINESS:

 

1. Personal development

2. Language and literacy

3. Mathematical thinking

4. Scientific thinking

5. Social Studies

6. Art

7. Physical development

 

In addition to these seven

domains, as a Christian

preschool, spiritual

development is just as

important. An intergral part

of our partnership with PUMC

are monthly Chapel services.

Each chapel service focuses 

on a Bible story, presented in

a developmentally appropriate 

way. The 4's will be invited to 

attend Chapel each month.

The  2's and 3's classes are 

introduced to Chapel through

the story of Jesus' birth in

December.
